So I have a spiral staircase in my front entryway.. Since moving in, we have used the curve of the stairs to hold a coat rack, and a pile of our shoes. As the family got bigger, so did the pile. I decided to build out a shoe rack to get more use out of this dead space.

The initial construction was simple enough, I matched the curve by creating a series of parallel lines on a template board, and setting it in place at the height of the bottom shelf, and measuring the distance from the front of the board to the wall, along all those parallel lines.

I trimmed it out in my usual style, with some 3/4 paint grade pine.

I found an old table top on facebook marketplace, cut the curve into it with a jigsaw, and refinished, it turned out nice.

A coat of paint later, here we are.
