My youngest daughters room was in need of some additional storage. I decided a bookshelf is probably the right route to go, as a majority of her needs revolved around books and toys.

This time around I did my initial design in Freecad, this is actually the first project in my house where I used my typical “offset” design style.
The build (as usual) was done with some 3/4 plywood from the local big box store. Definitely paid too much for it as this was around 2021, and lumber prices had surged due to all the covid renos taking place. The final product turned out nice, thanks to the drawings I believe this was put together with screws and glue in an afternoon. Ellie was very happy.

I added my usual 1 inch pine face frame, my father in-law added some decorative crown, and with a coat of paint, we were done.
The book shelf sees a lot of use, its built-in look adds a lot of style and function to the room, and the design language has been re used in a couple of my other household projects. All in all very happy with the result.
